Sudoku, which means single number in Japanese, is a popular 9x9 number logic game. The objective is to arrange 9 numbers such that each number appears once in each row, column, and 3x3 box. The puzzle begins with a set of "hints", and you are to fill in the rest of the board.
Click on a number cell to make it the active cell. Select your solution for that cell by clicking one of the number buttons 1-9 (or use the keyboard). You may also long-press a cell and a number pad will appear for a quicker means to enter your answer or notes. If you are in training mode , then the cell will turn red if your solution is incorrect. If you are not using training mode there will be no indication your guess is correct or not so check your entry.
There are four buttons under the number buttons, each performs the following function:
Undo your last entry.
Erase a cell, resetting it to empty.
Enter notes mode. When you click the notes button, any cell you activate goes to notes mode where you can enter the possible solutions for that cell.
Request a hint. You can ask for a hint for the current active cell. An empty cell must be highlighted to request a hint for that cell.
You can get to the options screen from the main menu and click the gear icon button.
Training mode: when active, the game will indicate when you make an error. When you click a number on the board, all matching numbers highlight making it easier for you to see that number. Training mode also enables the hint button. If you utilize training mode then your game is not eligible for the leader board.
